New Management for the Sunshine Coast Business Awards in 2018

THE Sunshine Coast’s longest established business awards have been celebrating business success since 1995 and from this year they will be managed by the Sunshine Coast Chamber Alliance, bringing a stronger, region-wide focus to the prestigious awards.

The Sunshine Coast Business Awards recognises the many, impressive business success stories throughout the region, and provides exceptional networking events for the local business community throughout the year.

The awards program culminates in the major gala event held in November and attended by 600 people from all corners of our business community.

The Sunshine Coast Chamber Alliance is excited to take over the management of the Business Awards in 2018.

Jennifer Swaine, Chair of the Sunshine Coast Business Awards Management Committee says bringing the Sunshine Coast Business Awards under the management of the Sunshine Coast Chamber Alliance will ensure these awards are well represented from all areas across the Sunshine Coast.

“The Alliance represents 17 Business Chambers as well as a number of other networks and associations and they all have a voice at the table,” she said.

“We will be relying on them to identify and encourage their members to participate in this year’s awards program.”

The Awards are open to all businesses across the Sunshine Coast and an invigorated new process will be unveiled at the launch in May.

“The Alliance has also appointed a dedicated Project Manager to run the awards in 2018 – Susan Toft has joined the team and will help us build a fantastic program for the Sunshine Coast business community,” Ms. Swaine said.

“Susan brings significant experience to the awards, having worked on the Premier of Queensland’s Export Awards last year, as well as a number of business, tourism and industry awards programs throughout her career.”

“Susan has some really great ideas to help us take the Sunshine Coast Business Awards to the next level, and we can’t wait to launch the program to the community on May 30,” Ms Swaine said.

The Awards organisers are currently calling for Expressions of Interest to find a dedicated Design Agency and Sponsors to help deliver this year’s awards.
