Dean is the founding director of Sunny Rays Catering, specialising in private dining, degustation and corporate catering events across the Sunshine Coast.

Having traveled the world for 10 years, travelling to more than 85 countries (including working in 5 countries across 3 continents), Dean gathered experiences from permaculture cheffing in Central/South America to hospitality/hotel management in North America, all the way to sommelier services in Western Europe. Over his 20 years in the hospitality and tourism industries, Dean has become a fully qualified Chef and achieved both Level 3 (WSET) & Certified Sommelier (CMS). These accreditations are also accompanied by certifications in Hospitality Operations from TAFE Mooloolaba and a Bachelor of Business (Advertising) from the Queensland University of Technology.

Dean is a proud local who believes in supporting all Sunshine Coast-based businesses through circular economies concentrating on environmental sustainability to preserve the essence of our beautiful region.
